Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, my father died suddenly of a heart attack in 2010 and on 30th October 2012 it will be two years since he passed away.
I miss him dearly and not a day goes by when I don't think about him. Having spent the first anniversary of his death last year pretty miserable, I decided this year I would do something positive, and so two days before the anniversary I will run 10 miles in memory of my dad. It's got to be said that I'm not great at running, so 10 miles is quite a challege for me, but I know I'll do it because I have the biggest motivation in the world...dad.
My dad loved running. He ran reguarly and did so all over the world once he had retired. I can see his smile now at the thought of me doing this run and I know that he will be so proud of me. I'm sure there will be a few tears on the day (I can feel a few even as I write this) but they will be positive tears because every penny of sponsorship money I get will help to mend the broken hearts of others suffering from heart disease, and running for dad will no doubt help to heal my broken heart from losing my dad far too soon.
Thank you,
Fleur x
