On Saturday 27th September I am taking part in the Great River Race rowing 21 miles up the Thames. Along with 31 intrepid colleagues in 4 boats, we are doing this to raise money for Great Ormond Street children's hospital. With world-class paediatric care the teams at Great Ormond Street give hope to thousands of very ill children around the clock, 365 days a year.

Your donation will not only spur us on upstream, but more importantly will go directly towards;

- contributing to the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital

- supporting ground-breaking research into the development of new treatments

- funding the most up-to-date equipment

- providing accommodation and other support services for children and their families
