Story
So, I intend to walk the whole of the South-West Coastal Path this summer - yes, all 630 miles of it from Minehead to Poole. Crazy woman! Bear with me, it might take some time ... after all I am 54.... :) But it is all for a good cause. There will be a blog if anybody wants to follow the journey because it will be a pilgrimage of sorts.... http://walkingwithjamal.blogspot.co.uk/
I will not be alone. Jamal loved this part of England and will be with me every step of the journey, I know. I am also hoping some of you will come and join me for a day maybe? walk a few miles? raise some money yourselves too!
Many of you will know my story.... I lost my beautiful son Jamal to the evil of Sudep (sudden unexplained death in epilepsy) on June 4th 2013. He was 26 years old and fit, healthy and seizure-free for 3 years. He has 2 sisters, a partner and is a daddy to two little boys - the youngest he delivered himself! He was and is much loved and missed beyond belief by all that knew him.
He went to sleep that night and didn't wake up.
Gone in a flash.
No signs.
No warnings.
No chance to say Goodbye.
No last kiss.
No last hug.
No last words.
Gone.
We have a Jamal-shaped hole in our lives that can never be filled...
I want to raise money for SUDEP action, a charity dedicated to research and promoting awareness of this silent killer, that claims young lives like Jamal's every day. They also help to support the families of those who have died. Three people die every day in the UK from an epilepsy related cause.

and see the fantastic work they are doing and planning.
And please give as much as you can xx
