This year I have been persuaded to undertake the challenge of UK Ironman, that is 2.4mile swim, 112 mile bike (surely that's what cars are for?!) and 26.2mile run. This decision was inspired by the efforts of 'Team True Spirit' at last year's event. Soldiers who's lives have been transformed through loss of multiple limbs and other significant injuries, undertook and achieved Ironman success proving that it is the mind that holds us back from great achievements.

So this year I am going to try to achieve the same and become an 'Ironman' and in doing so I will be raising money for BLESMA, who will support these guys who have lost limbs for their country, for the rest of their lives.
