Story
I guess for me this could be classed as the modern day David and Goliath story, though does include stones of the hitting 2 birds with one kind.
The first and main reason is ofcourse to raise money and awareness for Fibromyalgia Association UK who support people with this invisible illness. Something that should never be wished upon anyone, with symptoms including fatigue, irritable bowel, mental twitchy muscles, numbness, bladder infections, joint stiffness, sleep disturbance and bright light aversions amognst many other things. Fibromyalgia is estimated to affect 2-4% of the population with a female to male incidence ratio of aproximately 9:1.
A personal test in itself also, covering 100 miles from Kings Lynn to Hopton-on-Sea, clocking up an average of 20 miles a day, traversing across the Norfolk countryside and beaches, all under 5 days. Maybe I'll even take a few photographs along the way.
Convinced by a friend who has organised this event, people may think us mad, though to see the courage that this person has to go through with this illness day in and day out, does inspire to push oneself to be better.
