Many thanks for setting up the Fernando Ricksen Appeal JustGiving page in support of MND Scotland. We were really saddened by the news of his diagnosis with MND, and will do everything we can to support him in his fight against this devastating disease. I’m really grateful that you are rallying the support of Rangers supporters, and also helping to raise awareness of the disease.

The funds raised on this page will help us to fund the Specialist Nurses who deliver and co-ordinate the care needed by someone with MND. It will help us to provide the information and emotional support people need when they are diagnosed and throughout the progression of their illness. It will help us to continue funding research so that one day a cure will be found. 

Until that happens, MND Scotland will ensure that the best quality of care and support is available to everyone. The number of people with MND continues to increase, and we need to recruit more nurses throughout the country to ensure that the best quality of support can be maintained. We will only be able to achieve this because of people like you.
