Story

In loving memory of Les Caldwell, born 5th December 1935, died 21st July 2010.

We'll miss you.

--------

Update: We finished the race in about 19.5 hours!

The results are now up at http://www.fellsman.org.uk/doku.php?id=results:2010

401 people started, of whom 298 finished. We were 138th.

I took a few photos (progressively fewer as the day went on!) which are at http://climbing.me.uk/Fellsman/index.html

---

We've been taking part in mountain marathons and other long distance events for a few years now, but this year we're upping the distance, and have entered the Fellsman - a non-stop 61 mile route across the rough moorland of the Yorkshire Dales, involving 11,000 feet of ascent for good measure! So we thought we'd take the opportunity to try to raise a bit of money for Prostate Cancer Research, a cause close to our hearts as Simon's dad is currently in remission from the disease.
