Story
On 21st July 2019, I will be participating in the British 10K to raise money for the Penny Appeal Thirst Relief Project.
Three children die every minute from drinking dirty water.
The Penny Appeal Thirst Relief Project is installing wells in countries across Africa and Asia to give communities access to clean water.
This means they can drink, wash, grow crops and water their animals safely. A nearby well also means people do not have to spend hours walking to get water hence freeing up their time to work, go to school or look after sick relatives. All this adds up to heathier lives and essentially a route out of poverty.
It costs £300 to donate a single well to a community in Pakistan. Pakistan is facing a serious water crisis. The country is rapidly moving from being classified as water "stressed" to water "scarce".
All the money raised goes directy to the charity so please donate generously and consider yourself privileged to have an abundance of water in your home.
God bless.
