Story
As many of you know, our family life has been affected by Kidney Disease.
Andrew (Kirstie and Gems dad, my husband) was diagnosed with kidney problems just after we were married. To survive he needed to start dialysis the week Gem was born as his kidneys failed.
When Gem was just 8 months old he received a transplant for which we as a family will be forever grateful to the donor family and to Andrews medical team.
11 years later and Andrew again needed dialysis. This time I was able to donate a kidney. That was 12 years ago.
As a transplant/kidney patient you need constant monitoring.
Kidney Wales are constantly updating information and helping not just the patients but also the families in many ways.
They need our help especially during this difficult time to keep helping families.
Please help us to help them, every little bit counts
