Thank you to everyone's support, I completed the Dirt Half Marathon in 2hr 00m 55s and I'm very happy with that. The next run for Thomas is the Bedford Half Marathon on 9th December! Thanks again!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running the Reading Half Marathon on 17th March and the Milton Keynes Marathon on 6th May, the Loch Ness Marathon on 29th September and finishing with the Oxford Half Marathon on 13th October. My friends, Richard and Cath Laurie, their son Thomas 8, suffers from Cockayne Syndrome and is cared for with the help of Helen and Douglas House. I'm running to raise as much as possible and raise awareness of this condition and the amazing work they do at Helen & Douglas House.

2013 is nearly over and after completing the Reading Half, Milton Keynes, Loch Ness and the Oxford Half Marathon's, I'm truly delighted with how the year has gone!
Sadly on 19th February 2014 Thomas died at Douglas House!
I have run many Marathon's since I started running in 2011, the MK Marathon, Loch Ness Marathon, Reading Half, Oxford Half, Dirt Half, Liverpool Half, Brighton Marathon, Edinburgh, Chester and next year (2015) I intend to live out my dream of competing in the Rome and Florence Marathon's as well as running from John O'Groats to Lands End.
Like Forrest Gump, I run because I feel the need to and I will stop when my work is done, I will stop when they find a cure to Cockayne Syndrome, as yet there is no known cure.
