We provide inspiration and support to people seriously injured through sport

Story

Whilst my Rugby Team, Market Harborough Rugby Football Club were away on Tour during Easter 2014, Stamford Rugby Football Club were also on tour at the same time. One of the Stamford Rugby players, 9 year old Seb Goold, fell from a moving coach on their way back (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-27014262).  Seb suffered life changing injuries, including having his right leg amputated at the thigh to save his life.

Following Seb's accident, the Seb Goold Trust (www.sebgooldtrust.co.uk) was established with three objectives:

1.            To help Seb to have a full school, social and sporting life by procuring specialist sporting equipment, including a sports leg

2.            To help the people that have helped Seb by supporting the charities and organisations that have been so vital in Seb's recovery so far

3.            To help Seb to help others - Seb has the potential to offer inspiration and advice to children and young people who have suffered similar injuries so they too can rebuild their lives and continue to achieve their full potential.

This is an opportunity for the rugby family to show how we support each other in times of adversity.
