Story
Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
Together with Damian Bell, Dirk Bischof, Deuan German and Ollie Hoare, Eric Jorrin will be setting off on 22nd May 2010 on a 1100 mile cycle ride (about 1850kms). The ride will take us from Lands End in the most South-Westerly point of the United Kingdom to John O'Groats, the most North-Easterly point. The objective is to raise money for Project Peru, a charity which runs a children's refuge in the shanty towns near Lima, caring for over 30 children. It offers them food, clothes, education, shelter and fun, in a country where nearly half the population exists on less than one dollar a day! The charity is run by a lovely couple David and Carole and a band of other fantastic volunteers - who donate all their time and energy into the charity. As it is a small charity - there are no big admin costs - virtually all the money raised goes to Project Peru. (See http://www.projectperu.org.uk.) So please dig deep and donate now!You can follow Eric through his blog at http://ericjorrin.blogspot.com, Dirk through http://1000mileschallenge.blogspot.com and Damian will be updating the team blog at http://www.justgiving.com/LEJOG-DamianBell so you can follow them through the training and read all about their daily progress and challenges while cycling the distance.
