This summer I will be leading a delegation of 15 brothers to the Zaatari Refugee Camp to help deliver first hand aid to Syrian refugees but also oversee the building of the first ever Disability Rehabilitation Centre at the camp.
As the President of Students4Syria, we have always made it our mission to put students at the forefront in enacting positive change in the world but also reconnecting with their brothers and sisters and truly understanding the sacrifice and struggles of Muslims in Shaam. Our aim has always been that through this we can revive a sense of unity and brotherhood that has been lost in our time and foster true love between Mumineen.

Also my self personally as a Medical Student, this is something very close to my own heart as, I have always wanted to help set up a medical clinic and one thing I personally am very interested in is how healthcare system work in conflict/ post conflict zones and what is needed to help alleviate the suffering of people and what interventions are used to allow people to continue with their lives. For me this isn't just an opportunity to just do aid work, but also one that I hope will allow me to really widen by horizons in the world of healthcare.

The cause:
Al Zaatari One of the largest refugee camps in Jordan and accommodates over 80,000 Syrian refugees among which are many orphans and disabled children.
There is a need to establish a rehabilitation centre that provides a suitable place for children and youth with various types of disabilities including physical, sensory and mental impairments.
There is a lack of educational classrooms for the disabled and the number of disabled children are on the increase in the camp.
Therefore the centre will provide rehabilitation and care for the disabled children, help educate orphans and disabled children, and integrate parents, especially mothers, with their children in order to care for them.
With your help, I beleieve I can raise the funds needed to help Human Relief Foundation can begin the project and aid those most in need.
