Emma's Wobbleberry Challenge

Wobbleberry Challenge · 11 November 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been selected from little old Cornwall to take part in the Wobbleberry Challenge... The challenge is to take part in a British Eventing 80cm class by Autumn 2017..
Easy yeah?!..
Well for me this is a huge challenge not only is the horse i have chosen to compete on had under a years unaffiliated competition experience, I am a huge wimp!! I want to prove to myself and anyone else with that has that little niggle in there mind that when they put there mind to something they can achieve anything they want!!!!
A little about the charity and how it come about.... Hannah Francis
was diagnosed with aggressive bone cancer in 2015. She was just 17 years old. In the year and half that followed Hannah, always aided by her mascot toy pony, Willberry Wonder Pony. Hannah amazed the equestrian community and people all over the world with her drive and determination.
Even more remarkable, she turned her sights to what she could do to help people in her position in the future. In constant pain and undergoing relentless rounds of treatment she and her dedicated family and friends set up Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony Charity. The charity funds bone cancer research, especially into osteosarcoma, and grants equine related wishes to seriously ill people. Sadly Hannah passed away in August 2016 but her legacy is alive and kicking... #kickingcancersbutt
I have been blessed with my horse George having had him from a young age we have gone through lots together, he is my best friend and a horse of a life time. At only 15.3hh he is not the biggest horse in the field, but for what he lacks in height he makes up for in character, brains and ability!! For the past year we have been working very hard in weekly lessons and monthly clinics, alongside this regular competitions (fun times). George has continued to amaze me with everything he does, he loves to work and being asked lots of questions.. We have gone from 50cm showjumping to 80cm in a very short time, and he will happily compete around a 70cm XC course but have trained on 80/90cm.. Sadly my nerves have stopped us going much higher this year and been the cause of to much 'chickening out' but, WE WILL GET THERE!!!! Now George is fairly naughty he likes to visit local farms and investigate the Cornish countryside if he is not ridden enough or it rains ( happens to much down here) then he will decide to jump the hedges and go for a wander.. (not any fun at 8pm in gale force winds and driving rain in winter!!!) Luckily for George i love him lots and he does his best for me what ever we try...
I'm so excited for our new challenge and it has given me something to aim for and make me have a new attitude of I CAN DO IT!!! So brave pants have been put on and i have pre warned George that i mean business. BRING IT ON!!!!
