Story
As a family we have been supporting Caring Matters Now since 2013. Our happy, outgoing, fun loving 3 year old daughter was diognosed with CMN from birth. CMN is an abbreviation of Congenital Melanocytic Naevus, a type of birthmark that may appear in newborn babies.
Caring Matters Now is a warm and welcoming support group.
They are the only dedicated UK charity to provide information and support for those affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi.
Their aims:-
This year is their 20th Anniversary !!! this is a huge milestone for the charity.
Therefore as parents, a grandparent and special family friend, we would like to do something to show our support and mark this memorable event.
So we decided to join Val Unsworth, fellow founder of Caring Matters Now & participate in the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge on 20th May to raise funds for the charity.
We are taking on the beautiful major 3 peaks of the Yorkshire dales in 1 day! With over 5000ft of climbing and 24.5miles we will tackle, Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough all within 12hours.
The aim is to raise what we can so the support can continue for those affected by CMN, we can also raise further awareness about CMN and as important raise funds for CMN research.
