Story

No one should be made to feel ashamed about their body hair. In a world that's obsessed with shaving, waxing and epillating, it's time to take a month off and let the armpit hair grow!

Armpits4August officially starts on 1st August and runs until 31st August, and as well as raising money for the charity Verity, I am doing this because for so long I have felt ashamed of having body hair and I'm so fed up of it. I don't suffer from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or hirsutism, but that doesn't mean I can't show my support.

I've always considered myself brave if I let my body hair grow. But it isn't bravery, it's just a natural body function and we should stop being ashamed of it.
