Story

I am raising money for friends of mine whose daughter sadly passed away on 24th February 2014 from a rare disease of the heart called restrictive cardiomyopathy.  The family are aiming to raise £43, 000 for a very important piece of medical equipment, called a Berlin heart, which is essentially a heart and lung bypass machine.  The money will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital to help children like Bea receive the best medical care at the world class hospital who provide first class care.  Bea was only 12 weeks old when she passed away but her short time with us and the care she received at GOSH has inspired many of us to raise money.  GOSH and the cardiothoracic department has a place in my heart, for personal family reasons and I will be running the 5k with my little sister;  I therefore have a further incentive to raise money for this amazing hospital.  Please help the Smith's hit their target and sponsor me-i'm not asking for much even £1 will help.  Many thanks.
