On 26 May 2013 I will be running the Bupa Great Manchester 10km Run in memory of my good friend Fred who sadly died of Cancer last year. I have known Fred all my life and he always knew how to put a smile on my face, and him and his lovely wife Christine have always been a huge presence in my family’s lives. They have always taken so much time to support me and my brother Alex, whether they were attending school plays or looking through art work. As a family we greatly miss Fred and this run is a small demonstration of how much he meant to us all.     

I have decided to raise money so that I can help others who also have been diagnosed with Cancer. By raising money for Cancer Research I hope that I can help to improve diagnosis and treatment options for those who suffer from Cancer in the future. Just £100 for Cancer Research would buy 1,100 specially designed cryotubes, which are used to store Cancer cells for further research.
