Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - I'm doing a Triathlon arghhh!!!
Many of you will know that On the 5th October last year Henry , the three year old son of our friends Phil and Tanya, contracted Ecoli and a disease called HUS which attacks our kidneys, stomach and brain. Henry was admitted to Bristol Children's hospital on the 11th October and was in a coma for 6 weeks. Nearly eight months later there has been some improvement and he has been moved to The Children's Trust Neuro rehab centre (www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/) where he can start some kind of rehabilitation to prepare him and his family for his return home in 6-12 months.
Phil and a team of friends have already raised over £28k by completing various fundraising challenges. Steve did rock solid with him in March and now I'm doing my bit to try and help Phil's fantastic fundraising efforts.
I will be joing phil, his sister Kate , brother rich and their other halves in a team of part time athletes to do the Dawlish Triathlon on Sunday 28th September (http://www.dawlishtriathlon.co.uk) - completing a 750m sea swim, a 21km bike ride and a 5km run. This is my first and probably last triathlon.....
I hope very much that you can support me and the truly amazing work that The Children's Trust are doing for Henry and countless others.
