Thames Path Challenge 2014 · 13 September 2014 ·

We provide emotional and practical support to families with a seriously ill child.

Story

On September 13, I'll be walking 50km with friends and colleagues from Blue Rubicon to raise money for our chosen charity, Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.

Rainbow Trust is a charity that provides vital emotional and practical support to families that have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

Rainbow Trust Family Support Workers go into families' homes and provide a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, an extra pair of hands to help out around the house and generally help in any way the family needs it; the service offered by Rainbow Trust is unique as they help every member of the family, from diagnosis through treatment and through the bereavement process, or more hopefully, recovery.

Nobody expects to outlive their child, but for the parents that Rainbow Trust helps, this is often a reality.
