We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

Next Summer, students from Plymouth University and Portsmouth University, will be climbing Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, East Africa. This climb will be raising money and awareness towards the charity: Meningitis Research Foundation.

The Meningitis Research Foundation is a worthy cause because any money donated to the charity goes towards aiding those affected by Meningitis or Septicemia, helping their families, and also funding towards research. Any research involved with the Meningitis Research Fund helps prevention, detection and treatment of Meningitis and Septicemia. Meningitis is prevalent in babies and students, which is why it is such an important cause to support. The Meningitis Research Foundation also supports clinics in Malawi, in the South-East of Africa, where the prevalence of Meningitis is large, and a lot of the people there suffer from this devastating disease.

By donating to this charity, you will help to make the hope of getting rid of Meningitis and Septicemia come true. All donations are welcome, no matter how big or small, particularly as the Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity well worth donating to.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
