Story
Oh my goodness, I've done it again! Apparently when winter hits, my brain leaves my body and I sign up for stupid things all in the name of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust!
This year I'm not just running one race but two! I'll be kicking off with the York 10k on 31st July and finishing by running the Great North Run - my first ever Half Marathon (and bearing in mind that the 10k last year nearly killed me, I'm not exactly sure what on earth I've let myself in for!) I'll be accompanied yet again by the excellent Roy Gibson!
I run for the CF Trust because it's down to this charity that my husband and his sister are actually alive - the CF Trust has dedicated itself to groundbreaking research on this genetic disease and it's because of their work that the average life expectancy keeps rising and rising (I think it's currently 32 years old). The CF Trust are slap bang in the middle of gene therapy trials - something that could literally change (and save) the lives of thousands of people and your money would really make a difference!
So give what you can (and maybe a little more than you want) and think of me on July 31st as I try to run a sub 1 hour 10k and on September 18th as I haul myself through 13 miles of running.
