Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In August we are joining the Inspired Living team in Florence for the final leg of the 'Home to Rome' ride. We will ride 212 miles over 3 days.
The aims of the 'Inspired Living' charity (established in 2009):
- To inspire ordinary men & women to adopt healthier lifestyles to reduce their risk of contracting cancer
- To raise £1 million for Cancer Research
There's lots of information about this and previous activities to be found on our website - www.inspiredliving.org.uk
Cancer Research UK is very close to our hearts - cancer has affected many people that we know and love, but every year research into new methods of diagnosis and treatment mean that fewer and fewer people will have to go through this in the future.
Amy:
Since taking part in an Inspired Living ride 2 years ago, I haven't cycled since! I am now determined to reach the level of cycling fitness and join my Dad, brother and rest of the team from Florence to Rome! Inspired Living was set up by my Dad 7 years ago, after my mum passed away, so CRUK is incredibly close to my heart. I'd love to continue raising money for such an important charity.
Emily:
When Amy invited me to take part with her I said yes without a 2nd thought about the journey ahead! No regrets so far & I am really looking forward to both training & taking part. As a novice cyclist there is no doubt that this will be a huge challenge. Knowing that we are raising money for such a worthy cause & hopefully encouraging people to get active - are both great motivators that will drive me up those hills!
This is all for a great cause and we would really appreciate your help reaching our target. All riders are covering their own travel and accommodation costs, so that all money raised can go directly to Cancer Research UK.
