Story
Hello lovely lovely people,
Thank you for taking the time to swing by and have a read of why I'm doing this and to hopefully part with some of your hard earned money!
I've foolishly signed up to run the Bath Half Marathon on 6th March 2011, I made this decision on the basis that I believed I needed to challenge myself and I wanted to achieve something worthwhile before my 23rd year is over, to raise as much money and awareness for Parkinsons UK as I possibly can. I thought about doing a skydive or trekking through the artic as my siblings have in the past but instead I've now settled on the idea of running the Bath Half Marathon. True to form, naively I thought 'How hard can it be?' until only after I had signed up did I realise that this means running 13.1 miles, which I then worked out was running from Worcester to Malvern and back again...
For the past few weeks I have been in training and intend to continue through what is inevitably to be a freezing winter, needless to say I am regretting my decision already. Some people say they get the 'running bug' and feel as though they could run forever as running gives you a natural high.... I am starting to realise I am not one of those people so this is very much a challenge for me, but there's no backing out now, especially now that you've all sponsored me such vast amounts of money!!
Thanks for having a read, please give what you can to help me raise money for Parkinson's, I really really appreciate it and I'll run my little socks off! =)
