Memory Walk 2019
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year thousands of people will walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help, to raise as much money as possible to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Alzheimer's has impacted people I loved and I am walking in memory of them, particularly Steve.  I hope to raise money for those currently living with the disease and their friends and families who need just as much support.

I found watching 'Our Dementia Choir' on Iplayer so emotional and the science behind how music can impact memory so interesting.  I really help the money that we are raising can help continue the developments to help the Alzheimer's society in the discoveries to help reduce the number of people impacted by dementia.

From the charity:

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year, that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on dementia together!
