On the 19th July, Ed Benfield, Hedd Roberts, Matthew Haynes, Ashley Garratt, Adam Sudale, Neville Clements and Stuart Colegate will be undertaking the Coast to Coast on our mountain bikes! The 200 mile route starts at St Bees and takes in much of the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors finally finishing at Robin Hoods bay 6 days later. Wherever possible we will be off road and a lot of the Lake District terrain will mean we will have to carry our bikes for long periods! Needless to say it will be a tough challenge and the route we are taking is not an easy one!

On a personal note, i have had a pretty tough year, and taking on this challenge will be the final chapter to my recovery. Any donations, small or large will be much appreciated for this worthy cause. Macmillan and in particular Macmillan nurses offer a fantastic service to all cancer patients and my nurse has been invaluable in her care for me. As usual, lack of funding for this charity means that some cancer patients do not recieve this care and so any donations really will help. Many thanks in advance.
