WELCOME to EAGLE AID.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page.
EAGLE AID was formed in 1988 and became the ‘working name’ of the British Jesuit Alumni/ae Charitable Trust, an independently administered registered Charity, (no:1041056) on the 1st September 1994. It represents the former pupils, parents and friends, of Jesuit Schools and Colleges in the UK and former pupils, educated at Jesuit Colleges abroad but now resident in the UK.
The Charity’s aim is to raise awareness of the plight of others and to help by raising funds for them.
Since 1994, Eagle Aid has distributed more than £763,000 to some 30 projects.
The Charity currently supports 8 overseas projects, namely:
• Child Landmine Victims in Kosovo
• Nav Jeevan, a home for young girls rescued from the streets of Calcutta
• Makumbi Children’s Home in Zimbabwe
• The Stomaltherapy and Wounds (Cancer) Clinic in Zimbabwe
• The Xavier Project providing Bursaries to Congolese Child refugees in Kenya and Uganda
- Hadrian's Wall fundraising trek
• The Matumaini Day Care Centre in Tanzania
• Humanitarian Aid for the Holy Land
Each has its own ‘project co-ordinator’ who has, or will have shortly, their own Project Page.
