During the past autumn of 2012 and now heading into early winter 2013 EMW are seeing a huge increase in neglect and abandonment cases involving equines including the terrible problems of constant rain and flooding. These problems have been building year on year and are now a time-bomb of equine neglect and abuse exploding UK wide. along with tethering issues, fly grazing and  abandonment EMW-UK along with every welfare group in the UK  have been warning of this catastrophe approaching for many years and have lobbied for a long time our Animal Ministers of all political parties of  its impending impact on equines in the UK.
