Story
We're running the Edinburgh Marathon!
EML Wildfire is a regular supporter of several charities and we always like to do our bit for worthy causes. This year though, EML Wildfire has put together a team of superhero volunteers to run a very long way around Scotland - 26.2 miles to be precise - in a bid to really raise the roof on its fundraising achievements at a time when purse strings are tighter than ever.
Mencap is a fantastic charity that gives people with learning disabilities a voice and provides invaluable support to their families and carers. Working both nationally and locally across the whole of the UK, Mencap continues to make a real difference to thousands of people with learning disabilities.
The charity relies greatly on donations and, as a member of the Fundraising Standards Board, you can be confident that every penny of your donation is spent wisely to help Mencap continue to provide its important services.
The EML Wildfire team, Ellie, Ben, Darren and Alex, will also be running alongside EML Wildfire's Ellen, who has signed-up her family to make-up a second team. The rest of the office will be supporting them all the way, with tea and sympathy for aches and pains and undoubtedly a celebratory cake upon finishing - it's the EML Wildfire way!
If you're familiar with the team members that will be donning their running shoes, you'll realise that the Edinburgh marathon will be no easy feat. We anticipate a lot of wheezing and falling over, but we know our hard work will be appreciated by our two chosen charities.
From all at EML Wildfire, thanks for taking the time to visit this page and please donate as much as you can - it will be very gratefully received by us and Mencap.
Our other chosen charity is the Princess Alice Hospice, so if you would like to support this cause also then please visit our other JustGiving page.
