Duncan's Three Peaks Challenge page

Three Peaks Challenge in 24 Hours · 4 October 2017
The Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) are the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales and I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of climbing these 3 peaks in just 24 hours!
Please show your support by making a donation - I'd also love to hear if you, or anyone you know, have completed this challenge and learn a little about their experiences.
The schedule:
I will be completing the challenge Thursday 5th October - Friday 6th October. At that time of year daylight hours are approximately 7am- 7pm, so half of the challenge will be completed at night – only adding to the level of difficulty.
The Mountains:
Scafell Pike - Lake District, England - 977 metres
(basecamp at 70 metres) - Total climb of 907 metres (2977 feet)
Snowdon - Snowdonia National Park, Wales - 1085 metres (basecamp at 60 metres) - Total climb of 1025 metres (3364
feet)
Ben Nevis - Fort William, Scotland - 1343 metres (basecamp at 50 metres) - Total climb of 1293 metres (4244 feet)
This makes a grand total of 3225 metres (10585 feet) of climbing, in addition to a total walking length of 40km (practically a marathon).
Donations:
All money goes to a great cause. I have been involved with this charity through my work for the last 3 years and I can tell you the money is being put to great use helping disadvantaged young people gain the skills to get into employment.
Please show your support by making a donation. A donation of £10 represents £1 for every 1000 feet of climbing.
Thank you!
