Cycling Land’s End to John O’Groats · 23 October 2017
Land’s End to John O’Groats, a classic cycling challenge that has stayed the test of time for many fundraising activities.
At roughly 1,000 miles from point to point. It’s a gruelling trip that will take us from the South Westerly tip of England through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and the Highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats.
As part of Health and Wellbeing week, taking place between the 23rd and 27th October, we will be donning our lycra, dusting off our helmets and touching our toes (knees) in preparation for our Land’s End to John O’Groats trip with a difference.
With help from local gym and leisure centre, David Lloyd, we will have two exercise bikes in the kitchen area for brave volunteers to undertake portions of the trip in the hope that we will reach our destination.
Who knows, maybe we’ll have enough juice in the tank to make it back again!
