Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On 21st March I will be plunging down 130 feet into the cold, deep, disgusting River Clyde...no, wait...that's not right - I will be gliding sedately down a wire suspended about 130 feet over the River Clyde, gracefully traversing 1000 feet across the river on a Zipslide. Screaming like a banshee. And it would probably be advisable not to stand underneath me.
I did it last year and it was hair-raising but great fun. If you click on the photo link, the pictures are from last year's event and yes, that little dot with the enormous bottom, suspended on a thin wire is me.
The charity I'm doing this for is Action For Children - a charity that is committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality so that they can achieve their full potential. In Scotland Action For Children have many projects including supporting children with disabilities, young carers, young people threatened with homelessness, foster care projects and much more.
Here's a link to one example on the BBC's website:

Even a little money will go a long way to helping these children and young people. I've visited a couple of the projects and know how much this help means to them.
This year, 4 of the young people helped by the project are doing the event with us. you have to raise a certain amount of sponsorship money and, because of their situations, they're not able to do this. So I've undertaken to raise it for them. Whoops.
You don't even need to be in the UK to sponsor me. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action for Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
A message to my mum - it's only 130 feet and nobody died last time - go on...sponsor me!
Thank you for reading and for your sponsorship.
