Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To celebrate my 60th birthday I have set myself a challenge, to walk/run 60 miles from Sidmouth to Lulworth Cove over 5 days, starting on Thurs. 7th January 2010 and finishing on Mon. 11th January. Some friends and relations have already signed up to cover all or part of the route with me and I am aiming to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Macmillan Cancer Support. You can follow my training progress on my blog entitled 'Running for charity walking for cake' which can be found at http://diamonddianne.blogspot.com/. Any donations given on this page will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and I am very grateful to you for your support.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
UPDATE - A VERY SUCCESSFUL COFFEE MORNING AT STURMINSTER NEWTON EXCHANGE ON THE 17TH OCTOBER RAISED £163. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED.
THANKS TO HELEN FOR LETTING ME SELL HER BEAUTIFUL CARDS WHICH HAS RAISED ANOTHER £41.
A quiz night at The Talbot, Iwerne Minster raised £213.50.
The walk is over. The weather was cold but bright on 3 days, overcast on 1 day and absolutely diabolical on the 5th day but we did it.
