Story
Why RNLI? Well one way or another I spend alot of time on or in the water between all the sailing and swimming I do. RNLI provides a vital back up of to all kinds of water users and being an island has quite a sizeable coast to cover!! I am hoping I won't ever need them to come to my rescue but knowing they are there should need arise is a great comfort. Hopefully you knowing they are there might make you enjoy our wonderful coasts some more!
Also RNLI is the charity for a couple of my training swims 1mile in South Cerney Lake (July) and 1 mile in Bournemouth Sea (14th August) http://www.rnli.org.uk/who_we_are/press_centre/news_releases/news_release_detail?articleid=700605 even more importantly they are actually one of the charities for the Dart 10km - hoping I won't need them there!
Visit my "team page" if you want to see how I am doing for the other charities I am raising for (Cancer Research and Naomi House). Also the journey I have gone through to get fit for this challenge:
