D's - Triple challenge 1000k, 10k "Two Castles" run and Mount Snowdon

1000k challenge and climbing Mount Snowdon for Khalsa Aid - Water for living. · 30 June 2013
By the end of July I hope to have cycled/ran/rowed/walked 1000kms a distance between Lands End and John O'Groats (as the crow flies). In addition on the 9th June I shall be running in the "10KM Two Castles Run" http://www.twocastlesrun.org.uk and the following week on 15th June I shall be climbing Mount Snowdon, this is all to raise money for the Leamington & Warwick Khalsa Aid water for Africa Appeal.
The teams aim is to raise £20,000 for an end to end project to provide a clean water supply for a community in Kenya.
The people of a small village in the district of Kajiado south of Nairobi, Kenya have to collect water from 10 KM away. There are over 1000 people and over 2000 livestock in this village. Last year Khalsa Aid delivered over 100 Tons of aid to this drought affected region and decided to look at a more long term sustainable project.
This is a very costly project hence why many organisations do not get involved, but with your kind help the people of this village will have guaranteed water for themselves and their livestock. This will ease many of the difficulties for the people who are in this high-risk drought zone. The total cost for this project is estimated to be around £15K to £20K depending on the depth of good water.
I hope to raise over £500 towards the project. I hope you can help by supporting this great project and making a generous donation.
