On the 16th April, I will be starting a 2450 mile drive across the USA from Los Angeles to Charlotte in my 1966 classic Ford Mustang.

As part of the Ford Mustang 50th anniversary celebration, I am joining the 500-car Mustangs Across America 7-day drive from L.A. to Charlotte, NC with my 1966 Mustang convertible which is being shipped specially from the UK to the USA for this event.     

Yes, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for me, but I'm fortunate that I'm alive to be able to take part, thanks to modern heart disease prevention such as stents and statins.

This is why I want to help raise as much as I can for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), and why I am asking you to help me achieve this goal. Without the research funded by the BHF, my life probably would have been shorter, and with new initiatives such as using stem cells to actually repair damaged heart muscles, many other peoples' lives will be lengthened and saved.

This is going to be a very, very special trip, one of those bucket-list items, and by sharing it with as many people as possible, I hope to be able to contribute to the valuable work funded by the BHF.
