When I entered the race, I had to give a reason why I thought I deserved a chance to ride in it.

I didn't have just 1 reason, I had 3.......so here they are;

1-I lost a friend to Cancer in 2015, she loved thoroughbreds, particularly racehorses, taking them on in their retirement. I thought how much she would love the thought of me riding in a horse race to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

2- I have run "race for life"  around York racecourse raising money for cancer research and thought it would be great if I had a go on horseback!

3- I think crack on in life whilst you can and what an opportunity to ride at The Knavesmire!!! I couldn't do what Macmillan nurses and specialists do for Cancer patients, but I can raise money to support them.

So please give generously if you can, any money that you can spare would be fabulous.
