Mission of Epilepsy Scotland

“Epilepsy Scotland works with people affected by epilepsy to ensure their voice is heard”

We represent the 54,000 people living in Scotland with epilepsy, their families and carers. We believe that people with epilepsy have a right to determine their own way of life; be free from discrimination and stigma; be valued and included in society and have access to high quality medical, social and information services.

Aims of Epilepsy Scotland

We aim to influence health service development to ensure that people with epilepsy will receive uniformly high standards of medical care; fight discrimination and social stigma; ensure up-to-date and relevant information and support are available to people with epilepsy and those involved in their care and to achieve excellence in the recruitment, support and development of staff and volunteers.
