Ride for Hannah 2017

The Wobbleberries Challenge is for middle aged wimpy riders to

compete at a BE80 by Autumn 2017 all to raise money for the wonderful Willberry
Wonder Pony – inspired by Hannah Francis.

So about me… after many years of keeping my own horses and
just being an occasional ‘happy hacker’ in the summer and battling the winter elements with little opportunity for riding and just doing the mucking out around work and family I found this year to be different.

My gorgeous girl Honey who I have owned since she was 6 months
old was turning 5 and although I had started her education before winter 2015 and was looking forward to the spring and carrying on with her journey into ‘riding horse’ I found myself putting this off, asking myself whether it would better to sell her to someone with more time and who would do more things with her, this was basically because I had lost my confidence and I did not want to ‘ruin’her.  However with the help and support of some fantastic friends, this summer has turned out to be the best summer I have had for many years.  I have enjoyed attending local training clinics and meeting new friends… which is where I heard about this challenge, together with these friends I am building my confidence again and Honey is doing amazing… I am very lucky… I have always dreamed about competing in this type of event and imagining myself to be brave enough but have never had that confidence or the opportunity until now and what better opportunity than with like minded people who are facing their own personal challenges the same as me and at the same time raising money for a fantastic cause.
