Swim22 2019
Campaign by Diabetes UK (RCN 215199)
Swim 22 miles, in 12 weeks in your local pool. Between 22 February and the 22 May swim the equivalent of the English Channel in your own time, at your own pace while getting sponsored for every length.

Story

David has been living with Diabetes most of his life. Like a champion, he gets on with everyday life without a grumble. He never moans about having to be careful about what he eats, or having to inject himself after every meal, or having to regularly check his blood sugar.

Whilst neither of us are strong swimmers we are taking part in Swim22 because we want to raise money for Diabetes UK and support a charity that makes a difference to so many peoples lives, who are in similar situations to David.

Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the most devastating and fastest growing health crisis of our time, creating a world where diabetes can do no harm. Its a fight that involves all of us sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together.
