Full offline total added in so far now, and absolutely smashing it! Thanks so much to everyone that's donated, please spread the word to keep supporting!
3000 miles, 45 days, 12 cyclists, 10 countries, 1 reason.
Help for Heroes.
Hi there,
Exeter University RAG's (raising and giving) annual international event has upped its stakes massively, and this year a select group of only 12 Exeter University students have been chosen to cycle 4,500km from Westminster to Istanbul over the summer, and I'm proud to be one of them!
Help for Heroes is a particularly relevant charity as sadly, last November, a recent EUBC alumnus - David Boyce was killed whilst on duty in Afghanistan. We're aiming to raise a minimum of £2700 each of which roughly a third will go towards the cost of the trip and everything else will go directly to the charity.
The trip will cover 10 different countries, and take us over the Alps during the peak of summer. We plan to raise approximately £1 for every 200m covered.
If you could donate anything at all, it would be really appreciated as it's a fantastic cause and a mammoth challenge, devised and organised entirely by Exeter students.
If you would prefer to Donate via cheque, please make it out to:
EUGS (that's exeter university guild society) and write "David Rogal" and "international rag event" on the back.
These can be sent to: David Rogal, 57 Monks road, Exeter, Devon, EX4 7BB,
Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions, or if you're a corporate business interested in sponsoring the event, as we’re going to have loads of branded kit designed for this, as well as throwing large publicity events, producing a documentary, effectively being a Europe-wide publicity stunt!
