Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page for the Marsden March in memory of Liz.

I first met Liz when she was 17 and I was 18. We got married 6 years later. We were married for 31 wonderfull years and had two beautiful children Jamie and Louise.

In March 2011 Liz and her family received the devastating news that she had Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Liz bravely fought this terrible disease for 18 months until sadly on August 8 2012 she passed away.

Everyone that had the privilege to meet Liz found that she was the most caring, selfless and loving lady. She was devoted to her family and was much loved by her family, friends and work colleagues.

The care that Liz received at the Royal Marsden was truly amazing, and the doctors and nursing staff helped Liz and her family through the very tough times.

They gave Liz one of the most important gifts she could have asked for, time, precious time that she spent with her family, friends and colleagues.

Her family and friends want to raise as much money as possible for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, to make sure that the Royal Marsden can continue their outstanding work.

On Sunday 17th March 2013 a team of us are walking The Marsden March, which is a 14 mile walk from the Royal Marsden in Chelsea to the Royal Marsden in Sutton.

We are truly greatful for the treatment that Liz received at the Royal Marsden, please donate generously so we can help them continue their amazing work.
