The L&MFS is one of life's unsung heros! Without ever atrracting attention it goes on day after day delivering furniture to those in the city who cannot afford the simple basics. This it does by recycling furniture no longer needed by others. And at the same time it creates training opportunities for people trying to get back into work.

It rarely hits the headlines and so never gets major funding. Despite that it does a great job, and it's getting better all the time, but it needs funding to continue.
