PRESS RELEASE – Ferrari reveal new 2013 F1 car

 

Ferrari have set their sights on 'winning right from the start' and will be taking the wraps off their 2013 Formula One car this Friday.

The Italian team shipped their new challenger from their Italian base in Maranello to London this week in readiness for the launch at 20 Columbus Courtyard, 7am on October 26, 2012.

While the car adheres to the new 2013 regulations, the most striking feature is its uncanny likeness to the Hyandai Coupe. This has caused quite a stir with the faithful tifosi who have nicknamed the car – The Ferrundai.

 

Team drivers Fernando Alonso and Filipe Massa are unavailable this weekend due to racing commitments in New Delhi so Ferrari have enticed the highly skilled and qualified Italian Stallions Messer’s David Crew, Simon Foster, Sergey Filimonov and Jeremy Brattle to launch the car and commence its first public outing from London to Milan.

 

The launch will be unlike any other – so don’t miss the razzmatazz and join the team at 20 Columbus Courtyard, 7am on Friday 26 October.

Forget your Higgs Boson, Top Gear -"eat your heart out" - this, Ladies and Gentlemen is a serious challenge which could have consequences far more reaching than little particles you cant even see, that the universe is made up with.

Stephen Hawking move aside, on October 26th we will be driving a "Banger" from the Credit Suisse Office in London all the way to Milan. We are competing with over 30 other teams with the aim of (1) WINNING and (2) raising as much money for our charity of the year Centrepoint. Last year the rally raised almost £100,000 !

Our "crack team" are currently scouring the automotive scrapyards to secure a suitable car ( for less than £500) that will take us on this journey. We do not expect that it will be in much better condition than our current picture - and as soon as it's procured we'll provide some lovely pics.

ALL COSTS including the purchase of the car and the very necessary breakdown cover are being met personally by the team so every penny of your kind donations will go to Centrepoint. Centrepoint is the leading charity in the UK supporting homeless young people aged 16–25. It provides a range of accommodation and additional support in health, education and life skills. Their services include a designated health team and mental health team, specialist support to help young people back into education, training or employment, and the teaching of life skills, which encompasses everything from money management to cooking.

Homelessness is not just a housing problem. Family breakdown, complex support needs, deprivation, crime, exclusion from school, transitions from care and becoming a refugee are just some of the reasons why young people become homeless. We would be extremely grateful if you could support us in raising money for this great cause.

The Team will cover all expenses of the trip including the cost of the car and the scrapping of it in Milan, with all the proceeds going to the charity, so we just need you to be generous and support us with this crazy event!
