YUKON ARCTIC ULTRA
Described as the "World's, Coldest, Toughest Ultra"
David is set to race this awesome 430 mile race. 430 miles = 16 and a half marathons or the equivalent of running from Southampton to Glasgow, pulling a bath.
David's competing to raise money for The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (see below).
Every day the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance crew provide an efficient, rapid response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and many other incidents throughout the County. The Helicopter is called out on average 3 - 5 times per day, and many of these missions are life saving.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance receive no Government or national Lottery funding, and as a charity we only receive help through the secondment of the paramedics by the NHS. It cost £3,600 a day to keep this vital, life saving service flying.
