Story
We are cycling for Lothian Autistic Society (LAS) as they are a charity that not many people will have heard a lot about. Many families that would benefit from such charities as LAS are not aware of the huge amount of help that these organisations can give, or quite how much they depend on donations.
For me (Dave B), I know what it is like to have their much needed help as I have two Autistic sons. They support my family, and many others living with Autism, in so many ways.
If it was not for LAS, people such as my family would not get some free time from the kids, valuable advice that we need, and a break for the boys over the holiday time where they are taken out for the day to do many different things such as swimming, cinema, arts & crafts, picnics, soft play and many more depending on their age.
As parents, we often will feel like we are the only ones with this life but it is not the case, and LAS helps us to understand this. The donations you make enable LAS to organise evenings and sessions for parents, help lines, courses and much more.
Please donate to help a family with Autism get the support and advice that is much needed and also develop a better understanding of what Autism is and how we live with it.
Thank you for your support.
