Hi all, 

So I’m hoping I get to partake this time in the event at the second bite at the cherry. Mental health has been a constant in my family’s life for a number of years and this money and awareness is only the beginning for me in my quest to help people suffering from such a life changing way of feeling.

Articles I’ve read suggest that depression is now the most widespread illness on earth and the amount of people seeing no way out is at an all time high. For me this is the first cog in the machine to take what I’ve learnt about myself and help make a difference in any small way to somebody out there. The power is in our hands to start talking in more detail with each other about how we feel and I am committed to training hard and delivering my all in this event. Bro, this one is defo for you, let’s hope I last three rounds! 

Dorset Mind is a pioneering mental health charity that educates, challenges stigma and inequality and promotes recovery from mental ill health. We empower individuals to understand the recovery process and assist them to develop resilience.Dorset Mind provides recovery and resilience-focused support groups across Dorset that aim to educate people about the mental ill health and support people to identify and develop coping skills. We also run an accredited befriending service and offer volunteer roles.Thank you for your support!
