Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The whole point of the SAS Challenge is to attempt to mirror the determination and inspirational spirit demonstrated courageously by a colleague of mines sister.
Keith Anderson's sister Sarah has spent the last 20 years fighting the effects of Multiple Sclerosis, and despite being constantly knocked down, has continued to live her life with a truly inspirational, mentally strong and enthusiastic attitude. There is never a word of complaint, and always with a smile with Sarah and that is passed on to all who she meets.
Keith created the Sarah Anderson Stewart Challenge with the ambition of inspiring others to achieve success beyond what they would have considered. In doing so, he has invited 11 team mates spanning between friends/colleagues and like minded enthusiasts to join him on the following one day challenge, which will take place on the 1st of June 2013;
1) 130ft Abseil down the Dundee University Tower
2) A 50 mile road Bike
3) A 5 mile River Raft
4) An 8 mile run
It is stressed that this is not a race, but a personal challenge for each person to demonstrate their strength of character through individual success and overall teamwork.
All 11 'challengers' are coming together to show that with determination and support, anything is possible.
All monies raised will go to the MS Therapy Centre in Peddie Street, Dundee. This Centre provides fantastic support and various treatments including Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber sessions which are proven to have a positive impact on MS sufferers as well as for those with other associated ailments. The Centre is funded entirely by donation and requires at least £130,000 every year to remain open.
