Story
So why did I start on this mad journey of running 26.2 miles?? A question I've asked myself many times in the pouring rain and early mornings plodding over Peak District! Probably three fold, firstly the challenge and on my lifetimes list of to dos, secondly to have a goal that gave me focus to enhance my own health and finally the desire to raise funds for a great cause.
This all started for me at a company offsite where 3 off us shook hands on doing a 2012 marathon. Really this gave me the commitment I needed to lock in the date and this is now fixed and is on 29th April. Whilst training has been hard really appreciate Lauren and the family putting up with the alarm going off at unearthly hours on a Sunday morning and for oh and ah later in the day.
I would really like it if you could show me your support for this by sponsoring me. I'm not the sort of person who asks for money even for Charities, I don't think I have done it my adult life. On this occasion having worked closely with the Charity I can recommend them as making a real difference to real people who are on our doorstep. I'd love to have you support as it will motivate me knowing every mile is making a difference and have a feeling I may need to have this particularly between miles 20 to 26.
Appreciate you taking the time to read my journey and would ask for some motivational sponsorship!
