Story
Hi, my name is Dani, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, If you can spare a minute please read below to learn a little bit about my summer adventure plans.
This August I will be spending four of my weeks out in Kenya to build a fully equipped secondary school for 200 deaf children in the area of Riandu. Unfortunately, the majority of deaf children within that region currently go without any secondary education, with a total of 71 primary schools facilitating deaf children in the entire country, only 5 secondary institutions are available to accommodate the pupils with these disabilities, none of which are in the eastern province of the country, however this is where our team gets involved!
Working with the Peter Cowley Africa Trust this project is fully dedicated to help solve this serious issue.
Being apart of a team like this has always been on my bucket list and I'm thrilled to be putting my time into good use in making a real change for the less fortunate. In order to make this happen, I'd be so appreciative for any donations that will go directly to materials and services for the building of the school. For people that know me, this is definitely out of my comfort zone, I'll be doing some serious grafting and getting my hands very dirty, so all generous donations are extremely welcome!
